Overview
MGO is looking for a Corporate Development Manager to join our growing team! This position can work out of either of our Bay Area offices: San Francisco or Walnut Creek.
The Corporate Development Manager will work across internal strategic areas (client service delivery, account services, community engagement/partnerships) and with external strategic growth initiatives ( Strategic Partnerships & Relationship Development, M&A). You will work alongside the COO and key executives to help identify, prioritize, manage and execute on key strategic initiatives.

• Leading Managing and Holding People Accountable (LMA)
• Determining growth strategies that will yield the greatest benefit
• Provide strategic thought leadership and analytical rigor to important business decisions
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities
• Structure complex problems, gather and analyze information, and deliver insights and recommendations to executive teams
• Understand and stay current on various regional markets, industry trends, competitive landscape, and internal product development efforts and leverage this knowledge to evaluate opportunities to enhance strategic positioning
• Drive end-to-end execution of M&A, including identifying and engaging in potential opportunities, strategy formation, developing business cases and integration of acquired businesses
• Build consensus among cross-functional teams, influencing decision making within senior-level audiences
• Collaborate with solution leaders and Finance to ensure the company is investing in and creating market-leading, differentiated products, services and value propositions
• Work closely with cross- functional teams on initiatives to ensure alignment in support of our key growth strategies
• Advocate and communicate corporate strategy within the company
• Support the development of playbooks to scale programs across partners
• Develop a framework to determine where to focus our efforts based on the company’s stage of development
• Drive partnerships with major technology vendors to completion and create a pipeline of company partnerships, ranging from technical integration to commercial collaboration
• Manage direct reports, develop talent and build an effective organization
Nonessential Functions: Performs other duties as assigned from time to time by the CEO and other Executive Team members.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 4+ years’ work experience influencing management decision-making on strategy and M&A initiatives
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong interest in understanding Cannabis Industry
• Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast paced, rapidly changing entrepreneurial environment
• Strong attention to detail, pro-active, highly accountable with demonstrated ability to work with follow through
• Ability to build relationships quickly and foster trust at all organizational levels
• Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office, Office 365, Google, Adobe Products and other business tools like Slack, Asana or other communications platforms
• Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
