Overview of the Role
Geneva Capital Management is seeking a motivated candidate to fill a summer internship position. The intern will work as part of the investment team to perform fundamental research and analysis on current holdings as well as new ideas being considered for inclusion. The ideal applicant will be a good communicator with strong analytical, math, accounting, technology, and organizational skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Conduct fundamental research and prepare stock research reports on current holdings and potential new investments
• Run quantitative stock screens using Bloomberg and other research tools
• Track earnings reports from companies in the portfolio and compile earnings report updates
• Actively participate in portfolio strategy meetings, research meetings with sell side analysts, and company management team meetings

• Assumes additional duties as assigned

• None
Technical Skills and Qualifications
• Passionate about financial markets with an interest in investing
• All candidates must currently be enrolled in a four-year university program
• Coursework in accounting and investments preferred
• Knowledge of Excel required
• Must have analytical skills with the ability to accumulate, organize and assimilate large amounts of information and make informative insights
• Excellent interpersonal, relationship building skills
• Strong communication skills
Ongoing competence in the role to be assessed by:
• Weekly meetings with manager and feedback from the investment team
• Progress against goals and deliverables outlined at start of internship
Working Environment/Physical Activities
• PC usage up to 100% of the time.
• Office equipment such as telephone, copier, and fax machines, etc.
