Job Description
Visa is seeking an outstanding and highly motivated Project Manager to manage Visa’s global event management system. This role reports to the Senior Director of Corporate Events and will be responsible for oversight of Visa’s customized Cvent tool including software administration, process management, data maintenance, reporting, and communications to Cvent users throughout Visa. The position requires a strong knowledge of Cvent software, as well as superior leadership, organization, negotiation and communication skills. The role will also support the Corporate Events team on event registration and logistics management for select programs as needed.
Responsibilities
• Create and manage Cvent registration websites, email marketing, surveys, and event mobile apps. Work with event stakeholders to scope requirements, launch, and maintain registration sites, and implement changes throughout the event lifecycle.
• Create and manage a broad range of customized event reports; understand reporting requirements to ensure proper implementation and report design.
• Serve as primary point of contact for questions related to Visa’s Cvent tool and event management processes.
• Be the Corporate Events team power user responsible for training new users on how Visa utilizes Cvent; communicate best practices associated with templates and configurations specific to Visa.
• Manage and maintain Cvent event management system workflow and document updates as needed. Update/maintain field values, data lists, forms and other configurable settings as needed. Maintain graphic and document libraries (logos, banners, themes, images, etc.). Maintain Event Request Portal including Event Request Form and Event Toolkit.
• Manage event approval process, event classifications, and reconciliation of event budgets.
• Manage ongoing data integrity and data clean up in Cvent.
• Manage back end system requirements including Cvent user and requestor database. Add new users and manage user permissions/visibility to events; ensure users have adequate access to the areas of the system they need while maintaining limited access to areas reserved for administrators.
• Be the liaison with various organizations within Visa on the integration of applications with Cvent (if apps are not on the Cvent platform).
• Act as a professional consultant offering guidance, creative solutions, and assistance to various Visa departments on all aspects of the Cvent tool and event processes.
• Assist in developing best practices and implementing ideas on expanding Cvent system and process. Develop standardized registration sites, surveys and mobile apps for stakeholders to leverage globally.
• Attend industry conferences, tradeshows and symposiums on emerging trends and best practices in events and event technology
• Maintain and continue to proactively nurture relationships with key executives, internal clients, and regional events personnel by being an ambassador to the Corporate Events function at Visa
Skills
• Strong knowledge of Cvent online event management suite of tools including online registration and setting-up / managing web-based event programs, email marketing, event surveys, and mobile applications.
• Work product must be thorough and accurate – passionate commitment to quality - attention to detail and ability to problem solve are critical.
• Must like working in a team environment. Event staff will work together at times and will cover for each other when away from the office.
• Must be able to prioritize workload in a strict deadline-driven environment.
• Must be self-sufficient and handle own correspondence, filings and follow all company policies.
• Self-directed personality that takes a proactive, hands-on role in problem solving, decision-making, creating new procedures and/or innovating new ways to enhance the existing department procedures.

• Strong leadership skills that include vision and ability to articulate sell and garner support for new ideas. Must be inspirational, persuasive and have an ability to effect change across a broad range of business units.
• Possess a range of client servicing skills including identifying vision and needs of personnel and business units.
• Demonstrated track record of developing and maintaining relationships with clients, vendors and service providers.
• Strong executive presence and the ability to work cross-functionally and influence and build credibility as a "trusted advisor" with leadership from global functions and geographies.
• Demonstrated project management experience, ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including exceptional written and oral communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong time management, organizational planning, and problem solving skills.
• Genuine passion to make a meaningful contribution to the Corporate Events team and its legacy.
Qualifications
• Bachelors degree required
• Cvent Professional Certification required
• 8 + years of professional experience in registration management, event technology management, corporate events planning or similar field
• Driver’s license
