This Vice President Foreclosure/Bankruptcy position will directly report to the Senior Vice President Default Administration. The incumbent is responsible for working directly with governmental, special servicing, private label, and high profile investors while making decisions and providing resolutions regarding foreclosure and bankruptcy issues in order to minimize risks and mitigate loss outside of their delegated authority. Provide senior management with status updates and reporting in addition to ensuring compliance with all agency, investor and insurer guidelines. Support internal staff with questions regarding foreclosure and bankruptcy loans within their delegated authority. Coaches, coordinates and monitors performance of staff work activities to achieve the volume expected to meet operational requirements. Collaborates with peer group and provides process-specific feedback and develops on-going training to Foreclosure and Bankruptcy unit including recommending operational improvements. Creates, conducts and delivers organizational goal alignment performance evaluations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for Management oversight of various foreclosure and bankruptcy functions required per Federal, Agency, and Investor or Insurer Compliance standards
• Responsible for ensuring that all foreclosure and bankruptcy functions are executed within internal SLA’s and per required quality standards. These functions include but are not limited to the following:

# HUD 1st Legal and Due Diligence timeframes
# Bidding, Payoffs, Reinstatements & Judgment Figures
# 1st Legal filings for both Judicial and Non-Judicial states

# Timely and accurate filing of Motions For Relief
# Timely and accurate filing of Proofs of Claim
# Payment Change Notices
# Bankruptcy Set-Up and Closings
• Partner with Vendor Management to establish oversight for both FC and BK Attorney Firms inclusive of meaningful scorecard measurements
• Ability to provide counseling, develop training and mentor new and existing junior leaders.
• Monitor, communicate and manage Attorney / Trustee progress ensuring timeliness is maintained in accordance with federal, state and Agency, and Investor or Insurer required standards
• Supervise and direct the implementation/ development activities of the Foreclosure and Bankruptcy Departments to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, investor guidelines and applicable state and federal laws and regulations
• Enhance staff performance through goal setting, training and coaching
• Able to proactively identify and mitigate risk.
• Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned
• Manage responses to monthly QC audit for Quality Control/Compliance
• Provides monthly summary to Executive Leadership on departmental performance objectives
• Manages technological changes and updates on LPS Desktop PM
• Maintains a thorough knowledge of the LPS Desktop PM Workstation, default workstations, MSP, New Invoice and all other systems and software utilized in default
• Identifies opportunities to increase revenue and reduce expenses
• Responsible for requesting, creating/preparing, updating/revising, reviewing, testing, finalizing/approving, conduct training and maintain the departments policies and procedures
• All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma with some college or the combination of equivalent work experience, knowledge, skills and abilities related to the position requirements
• College degree preferred in Business, Math, English, Legal or other related subject (and/or equivalent work experience)
• Knowledge of mortgage banking, familiarity with RESPA, FFDCPA, GLBA, and federal and state laws related to foreclosure and bankruptcy processes
• Previous Default servicing management experience of 5 – 10 years
• Working knowledge of mortgage loan documentation, best servicing practices regarding loan processing while in default as it relates to applicable laws and regulations, including FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA
• Strong professional and interpersonal communication skills verbally and through written electronic correspondence
• Advanced multi-tasking and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability to read legal terms and conditions and understands their meaning and how it applies to work processes.
• PC skills including (but not limited to) advanced Word, Excel, Access, Internet, MSP (LPS/Fidelity) application skills
• Proven ability to prioritize workflow during high volumes and within critical time frame
• Self-starter who is able to work in a fast paced, multi-faceted environment
WORK CONDITIONS
Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Must have the ability to attend work and be productive during normal business hours and to work early, late or weekend hours as needed for successful job performance.
