The Client Implementation Analyst will have direct responsibility for supporting the Client & Product Implementation Team on activities related to the onboarding of new client onboarding and transition activity, in addition to changes to existing client mandates. The Client Implementation Analyst will also assist in supporting the operational lifecycle events impacting proprietary Mercer Funds. The Client Implementation Analyst will work directly with the operations team on onboarding activities such as: in-kind transactions with Transition Managers, pricing requests, data requests, operational risk reviews, system administration, and the facilitation of client conference calls & meetings.
Responsibilities:
• Assist with the development and maintain detailed project plans for each new client transition
• Assisting with the legal review process between the client and internal Mercer Legal to ensure that agreements are negotiated timely
• Work with Operational stakeholders to ensure that all client set up requirements are considered and executed timely
• Work with the Mercer Investment Team to ensure that clients legacy investments are transitioned efficiently from the current structure to the new investment line up.
• Ensure that all new client on-boarding Compliance requirements are met
• Assist with implementation of trading requirements / improvements with Daily Operations team
• Assist with all aspects of trading related to onboarding events
• Communicate and document allocation and trade results
• Support Operations team by completing Ad hoc request from clients, internal personnel related to data & information requests, etc.
• Responsible for providing operational support to new discretionary client accounts via operational team members
Qualifications
• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Fund Accounting and/or Custodial oversight, with progressive increase in responsibilities. Asset Management and/or Client facing experience a plus)
• Demonstrated ability to work in an environment where adherence to procedures and controls is critical
• Strong understanding of Investment Management concepts and operational mechanics of investment vehicles
• Strong analytical and organizational skills, clear and effective communication, both written and oral; ability to multi-task
• Positive attitude & proven ability to work well in a team oriented environment, while maintaining ownership over individual responsibilities
• Strong performance in leading a project, a team, or an initiative
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel
• Bachelor degree in accounting, finance, business or related field of study preferred
