To ensure timely and accurate processing of domestic and international supplier related information in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Collects required tax, banking, and other relevant information from domestic and international suppliers, determines reasonableness of information and works closely with suppliers and/or internal business partners to ensure accuracy.
• Performs checks to ensure compliance with all domestic and international regulatory agencies, including but not limited to, OFAC, IRS TIN matching, 1099 and VAT regulatory reporting, and internal policies and procedures.
• Maintains overall accuracy and integrity of supplier data by entering information into Enterprise Financials and/or databases with a strong attention to detail and ensures defined controls are properly administered.
• Works closely with Global Tax to identify and support federal and foreign tax regulation changes that impact supplier payments. Additionally, works with Business Solutions Group to support and test necessary system updates to incorporate tax changes into vendor maintenance and tax reporting processes.
• Executes annual tax reporting timely and accurately for all supplier payments in all domestic and international entities required to file with the IRS.
• Develops strong relationships with external vendors supporting the tax reporting process , including but not limited to 1099Pro, 1042Pro and CTI to ensure accurate and efficient reporting.
• Responds to all inquiries within defined service levels, troubleshoots problem resolution, and makes appropriate recommendations for process improvements. Maintains quality and productivity levels as defined by management.
• Identifies, recommends and implements process changes that lead to more accurate, consistent and efficient processes using Vanguard Unmatchable Excellence (VUE) concepts and tools.
• Participates in other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance, preferred or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Minimum two years of business experience, previous Accounting or Finance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of 1099, 1042S, W9, and W8 reporting preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
• Aptitude to quickly learn systems and tools.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
