Position Description
Director, Digital Analytics will be responsible for developing the website analytics functions for both Ally Consumer and Ally Dealers. As the head of this team, this leader will help advance and drive the strategy across products and lines of business by producing and managing meaningful analysis such as monitoring conversion by traffic channel, optimizing page pathing, prospect or customer experience and strategy impacts. This position requires the ability to be both hands-on with raw data and act as a business-facing relationship manager. This leader will also be an integral part of establishing future data sources and technological and strategic capabilities within analytics. The ideal candidate should have demonstrated success in leading the use of advanced analytics in the digital analytics space, an intense attention to detail, proactive approach to problem-solving, and ability to manage competing priorities.
Job Responsibilities
• Define and recommend measurements, strategies, and reporting using data to drive valuable business decisions related to conversion performance, testing impact, and prospect/customer digital experiences.
• Partner with broader channel analytics teams to assist in the creation and execution of strategies around an omni-channel customer experience.
• Consult with product owners on appropriate on-site testing, customer experience impacts, site usage and adoption.
• Partner and support multiple agile scrum teams regarding functional areas of the website and mobile app to deliver optimal customer experiences while improving revenue
• Continue to build and maintain analytics data mart in support of various reporting, analysis and BI tool infrastructure.
• Guide and conduct analysis of prospect and customer experience across channel touch points
• Act as a liaison between business partners and internal team to translate business need into executable requirements
Qualifications
• 7 years of experience of data mining and analysis
• Previous website channel experience preferable
• Strong knowledge of SAS, Python, R and/or SQL
• Very strong background in relational databases and data management concepts
• Master's degree in Statistics, Management, Business Administration or similar field of study
• Ability to analyze and synthesize complex data into clear action oriented recommendations for the business.
• Comfort level with ambiguity and ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
• Ability to communicate analytical insights clearly and concisely to individuals from diverse backgrounds
