The Foreign Exchange business at SVB has been growing rapidly and we are now the #11 largest FX provider in the US. We are looking for an experienced team member to help drive and optimize how our business operates globally as we continue to scale our business in an evolving FX and Global Payments marketplace.
As a Product Manager focused on the delivery of our Global Operating Model, you’ll be responsible for developing a scalable global operating framework and mindset across our FX Operations, Trading and Sales Advisory teams in North America, Europe and Asia. Reporting to the Managing Director - FX Product, you will be an integral member of a team of talented and collaborative product managers who are developing next generation end to end solutions to meet our clients evolving FX and Global Payments needs. As a part of this team, you will play a critical role, in conjunction with key business stakeholders and IT partners, in the development and rollout of an operating model that delivers scalable and efficient solutions for all our clients around the globe.
Responsibilities:
• Represent the FX Product team by partnering with the Heads of Operations, Trading, Sales and the banks Transformation Office to develop, implement and maintain a truly global operating model
• Lead baselining and change exercise across the business to identify processing/system nuances across different geographies and work towards process and policy alignment to deliver optimized round the clock trading and settlement across all of our operational centers and channels
· Stay current on relevant payments technology and partner with our IT team to ensure we are optimizing our payments architecture and enabling scale and straight through processing across all payment types and corridors
· Champion global onboarding standards and processes by developing common requirements and documentation across geographies
· Partner with global operational heads to optimize resource models and capacity planning
• In partnership with the Business Risk team, proactively manage within the appropriate regulatory framework and drive global programs to reduce risks
• Work with relevant teams to produce and deliver internal training as appropriate
· Support the FX Expansion roadmap, helping with the production of business cases and other artifacts and driving support for new product initiatives
Qualifications
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in Global FX/payments business with a focus on operations and/or product management
• Strategic and creative thinker with experience defining global operating protocols, leading gap analysis, driving change initiatives, standardizing processes & documentation, implementing global governance frameworks and proven ability to delivery continuous improvement
• Understanding of FX and Payments Technology is preferred – Client facing platforms, back end trading and settlement solutions, FX aggregator platforms, Payment hubs and core FX/banking systems
• Holistic understanding of a trade/payment life cycle from onboarding to execution, confirmation, settlement & investigations
• Knowledge of Swift, DLT and domestic settlement systems/rails
• Understanding of control, risk and governance frameworks
• Talent for communicating and gaining consensus around complex business topics and driving alignment between teams
• Collaborative team player who’s capable of building deep working relationships with key business partners & operational teams
• Entrepreneurial spirit and a positive attitude are a must
• Ability to travel between US & UK operational centers
