Corporate Relations has three overarching goals:
• Accelerate Allstate’s competitive advantage through reputation
• Increase confidence in Allstate’s business strategy
• Create a more purpose-driven culture.
To do this, we:
• Tell Allstate’s iconic story and bring the voice of Allstate to life through internal and external strategic communications.
• Know the business and help leaders strengthen Allstate’s reputation, strategy and culture.
• Connect our stakeholders to Allstate, build and protect our brand, and help people live a good life every day.
• Provide world-class insights and counsel to advance issues and initiatives important to Allstate through robust executive positioning, communications, media relations, reputation management, issues and crisis management, thought leadership and advocacy, strategic counsel, culture promotion, corporate social responsibility, financial communications, and program and project management.
Within Corporate Relations, the CEO Engagement team assists the Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Allstate with internal and external engagements with key stakeholders, including peer CEOs and thought partners; employees; the agency force; opinion elites, influencers, and policy makers; customers; consumers; national and local civic institutions; and prominent media/journalists. In the past year, this has included supporting 20 CEO trips across the United States – including to Texas and Florida just days after hurricanes made landfall – and 85 internal and external stakeholder engagements that reached over 117 million people. As examples, among the engagements in the past year have been multiple employee Town Halls that regularly reached over 3,000 employees in person and via live stream, media interviews with audiences in the millions, an Allstate-hosted breakfast with 25 global CEOs and thought leaders, and small group conversations with top policy makers. The senior manager of this dynamic, high-functioning team manages, executes, and as needed and in conjunction with senior CR leadership, refines, the CEO’s strategic communications system. The senior manager also leverages data and analytics to maximize effectiveness of CEO messaging and enhance Allstate’s reputation. This position requires a self-motivated and capable leader with top-notch project management skills, strong emotional intelligence, exceptional judgment and discretion, and a willingness to forge connections across Allstate’s family of companies and business units, as well as with external partners, to ensure the CEO receives succinct yet comprehensive information and support, sometimes under intense time constraints and while leading multiple projects simultaneously.

• Understand reputation implications of CEO activities, including public policy implications.
Support the CEO with communications & background materials
• Create key messages, quotable speeches and sound bites that connect the dots and raise the CEO’s profile and reputation internally and externally.
• Ideate, create messaging and speeches for external CEO events and communications, and internal communications as needed.

• Finalize and approve content for research and briefing materials.
• Oversee and coordinate integrated travel opportunities and maximize CEO impact with stakeholders.
• Support CEO engagement in crisis communications and investor relations events and communications as needed.
Build robust relationships with internal and external partners

• Engage internal and external partners in research, writing and other contributions to the process.
• Manage vendor partnerships effectively.
• Possess the poise, maturity and intellect to build a relationship with the CEO.
Mentor the dynamic, high-functioning CEO team to peak performance
• Mentor junior team members on professional development, including judgment, data/analytics, creativity, systems thinking and design, writing skills, CEO voice, and Allstate’s leadership principles.
• Ensure strong processes that produce exceptional quality work under tight deadlines.
• Lead effectively and thrive professionally in an environment of ambiguity.
