Essential Job Functions
• Receive and review new and existing compensation related information for all distributions. This includes contracts, taxes, salary, benefit information, commission adjustments, special check/EFT requests, IRS and state garnishments.
• Work closely with Licensing and other departments to ensure correct information and systems set-up for the payment of compensation.
• Determine necessary pending and final actions by obtaining all requirements, correspondence and system functions needed to complete each process.
• Handle both routine and complex inquiries from producers, broker/dealers, Home Office associates, the IRS and State Departments of Revenue.
• Complete all processes accurately and within compensation deadlines.
• Work with Licensing and other departments to answer questions and resolve compensation issues.
• Maintain systems data as assigned.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of contracts, commission schedules, state and IRS regulations regarding taxation and garnishments, company policies and procedures, and Individual Division procedures.
• Process and account for credit card payments
• Reconcile General Ledger accounts as assigned
• Conduct and report the results of systems testing
• Review commission statements for accuracy and work with IT on systems corrections and enhancements
• Track agent eligibility for employee benefits
• Track and collect agent debit balances
• Other tasks as assigned by the Team Leader, Manager or Director.
Qualifications
• This position requires a 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience.
• The ability to master applicable computer systems and develop an understanding of relevant tax and payroll regulations is required.
• A strong understanding of contracts for all distributions, and a basic understanding of the company's products, is necessary to ensure accurate payment of compensation.
