Director, Product Management, Digital Payments
Overview
• Today, digital consumers want to securely store, access and pay with their cards using connected devices anywhere they shop in the physical or digital space.
• But the abundance of places where people store their cards has fragmented the consumer experience, removed banks from the center of the journey, and created friction in digital payments.
• The Director, Product Management, Digital Payments, will help define Mastercard's strategy for tokenizing and enabling Mastercard cards in the digital ecosystem. At the same time, the candidate will establish new products that enable consumers to manage their stored cards across online merchants, connected devices, and digital wallets – giving consumers control of their digital cards.
Role
• Product management of Mastercard’s tokenization service for connected devices and the Internet of Things (IOT).
• This role will focus on defining the strategic vision and managing end-to-end product lifecycle of Mastercard Digital Enablement Service (MDES) with the goals of securing and scaling Mastercard payments in the digital ecosystem.
• The candidate will also drive bundling strategy and implementation of Consumer Controls products in close partnership with Enterprise Security Services.
• Define and document the bundled services, commercial offering, pricing, and customer onboarding processes.
• Create a global product development roadmap leveraging the Digital Products prioritization and planning process.
• Work closely with Digital Product Management, Platforms, Operations & Technology, and regional product teams to create, build, and launch new digital products & services.
• Partner with Mastercard’s sales and regional product teams to bring new digital customers onboard.
• Work with regional teams to educate and influence customers – Develop and (as required) deliver an external education program to educate and influence the value chain.
All About You
• The ideal candidate will have:
• In-depth experience with a variety of digital payment types and solutions.
• Moderate understanding of web services and backend technical processes.
• Ability to mix technical knowledge with practical real world experience to bridge between business and technology.
• Understanding of Mastercard’s sales process to traditional customers (Financial Institutions) as well Non-Financial Institution customers (merchants and technology partners).
• Excellent oral and written communication, negotiation, project management, and matrix-management skills are critical.
• Ability to influence internal and external business partners
• A proven track record providing product expertise and or training to both internal and external customers
• Business Acumen with the ability to provide solutions that drive positive results to the customer and Mastercard.
• Attention to detail
• Self-motivated with a proven track record of delivering success while operating within a team environment
• Embody the Mastercard leadership principles: demonstrate courage & resolution; encourage teamwork, integration, & inclusion; execute the global strategy; inspire & empower; operate with a sense of urgency.
• Bachelor’s degree required, having an MBA is a plus
