Our Workplace Strategy platform supports that type of experience, and as our Strategists work with clients to develop their holistic workplace strategy that aligns with their business goals and informs their real estate portfolio.
We are looking for a New York Workplace Strategist who will work within a team to create and support cross-channel opportunities, and support Newmark brokers on New York area projects to define client’s workplace aspirations and needs. Such projects may include industry-changing mobility strategies, workplace design and innovation for organizations embracing or confronting the rapidly evolving digital age.
Essential Job Duties:
• Maintains and grows current client relationships to earn status as a trusted advisor
• Proactively support broker business development, seek out new opportunities and prospects, and identifies new business opportunities
• Seek out workplace strategy /human experience innovation and best practice internally and externally to bring new ideas and thinking to client work and also to internal processes and operations
• Advise clients and local market leaders on workplace strategy trends
• Lead client‐facing engagements for workplace and real estate portfolio strategy development
• Collect quantitative data and qualitative feedback from end users to support program development and alternative spatial solutions; customize and administer end‐user surveys, facilitate focus groups, conduct interviews, plan and conduct end‐user observation, prepare benchmarking and other necessary research, advise on decision making criteria for workplace requirements and real estate search
• Synthesize information and the impact on occupancy demand, business goals, and organizational culture
• Assist in the collection of data and development of findings to create client reports and presentations
• Develop workplace strategy proposals, including scope and compensation
• Work with NKF’s presentation and graphics teams and thought leaders to develop trend reports, white papers, case studies, blog posts, or other related materials
• Work with workplace strategy team members to continually refine and improve best in class
• Collaborate with client’s other third party service providers including architects, designers, consultants, project managers, etc.
• Promote and support diversity
• Adhere to all set company and client policies and procedures
• Travel to NY-region clients as necessary with some US based travel for specific projects
Skills, Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree – preferably in Architecture, Design, Social Science or Workplace Strategy
• 5 to 10 years of experience in understanding, advising, and implementing effective workplace solutions
• Knowledge and extensive work experience in the field of workplace strategy, including expertise in current best practices in workplace design and technologies
• A history of exploring broad, undefined problem areas
• Ability to think strategically, implement change, enforce policy and resolve conflict.
• Proven success in promoting workplace strategies
• Experience facilitating meetings with diverse stakeholders to reach consensus
• Ability to masterfully present and effectively sell the services of Newmark Knight Frank
• Strong client relationship and account management experience
• Self‐starter and quick learner with an entrepreneurial spirit
• Versatility with computer graphics software including but not limited to Adobe CS Programs, MS Office Suite.
• May perform other duties as assigned
