Job Summary:
The Lead Software Engineer will work closely with the Business Partners, Subject Matter Experts, Business Systems Analyst, and Developers in building and supporting OFSAA Profitability and Hyperion Planning and Essbase Platforms. The candidate will lead efforts and work with Technology Stakeholders to offer solutions using best software and engineering practices. The candidate will facilitates implementation of best practices that improve system effectiveness and allow future growth. The candidate should have a strong understanding of OFSAA Profitability and Hyperion processes and experience with applications supporting these functions. The candidate should have demonstrated ability to work effectively in a self-directed environment, taking initiative and proactively improving processes. The candidate is expected to demonstrate strong verbal and analytical skills in order to take a lead role in supporting this function from a technology perspective.
Major Responsibilities:
• Strategizes with Finance Business Partner (FBP) and guides the development/technical team to through solution development
• Leads and support various financial modeling and analysis initiatives related to current and new products being evaluated
• Regularly works with Product SMEs to better understand the products, how they operate, which markets they serve and how to best leverage across the broader organization
• Prepare presentations as well as present key findings and insights to various levels of management
• Provide strategic solutions to various complex financial and operational projects which require both technical and Functional expertise and business knowledge
• Help establish and operationalize on-going monitoring of financial KPIs and related reporting in support of product initiatives and modeling output
• Define the need for and the source of data requirements for the planning & forecasting and reporting processes.
• Proactively identify possible scenarios, risks and opportunities around business performance.
• Develop and analyze economic drivers of the business client
• Model/assess performance scenarios to analyze risks and opportunities.
• Communicate with stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Qualifications
Additional Information:
• Bachelor’s/ Master degree in Accounting, Finance with Ten or more years of relevant work experience.
• Strong track record in Application Design, Development and full life cycle of SDLC
• Extensive knowledge in OFSAA Profitability and Hyperion Planning applications
• Experience in implementing OFSAA Profitability module and Hyperion Planning
• Strong financial, modeling, and quantitative analytical skills
• Understanding of corporate financial planning, reporting & analysis, and costing/profitability methodologies and processes.
• Ability to take ownership of a task or process, and see it through from inception to completion
• Ability to communicate and work directly with business leaders across ISA and Finance
• Detail oriented, self-motivated, and an ability to appropriately prioritize
• Works well independently and in a team environment
• Previous experience in Banking or Financial Services company is preferred
• Familiar with the preparation of General Ledgers, Basic Knowledge of FASB requirements, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Proficiency in Essbase, Smart View, Hyperion Planning, and Hyperion Strategic Finance, Job Scheduling tools (Autosys)
• Excellent communication skills and ability to focus on the details.
• Practical knowledge of Software Development Agile Process & Waterfall Life Cycle
