Responsible for performing complete analysis of complex or sizable client requests. Works with business users, stakeholders and other
project team members, documents business specifications and develops detailed work estimates, timeline, and test strategy.
Completes business impact analysis, documents business process flow current and future state, serves as an expert resource on specific
business functions, products, etc. Leads project team to prioritize work efforts and may take a leadership role in release management
and reporting. Maintains detailed knowledge of the businesses current technology and infrastructure. Accountable for identifying the
most cost effective approach with project stakeholders for submitted change requests. Exhibits creative problem solving and leadership in
business requirements development. Leads, mentors and/or directs the work of other team members. Adheres to and educates Business
Analysts on Center of Excellence best practices. May lead work request meetings between IT and the business area to ensure
priorities are managed effectively. May partner with IT to help resolve production outages followed by root cause analysis.
QUALIFICATIONS:
At least 8 -10 years of experience in the insurance industry. Demonstrates corporate perspective of business needs and functions,
as well as proficiency within the business department supported. Has strong knowledge/background in several product types and many
business functions, and consistently produces quality analysis independently. Exhibits capacity to work in uncharted situations,
without direction or procedures. Excellent influencing, mediation and negotiation skills. Superior knowledge of the business functions of the
clients, and the impact of interactions between client areas. Solid working knowledge of the supported systems and transactions.
Proficiency with analytical testing utility tools. Solid working knowledge of systems design process and methodology. Experience
working with vendor applications and packages is a plus. Current with technological trends and advances.
