The Expertise We’re Looking For
• Thought leader and Visionary
• Successful strategic product development background, especially in relation to understanding the client market, developing client strategies, translating data into long term vision
• You must have exceptional analytical, communication, conceptual thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Demonstrated commitment to cross-functional collaboration in agile, client centric, and fast paced environment
• 7 plus years of financial services experience, particularly a deep knowledge related to retirement and college savings marketplace
• Familiarity with Fidelity retail and workplace distribution channels, experience within such channels, a plus
• Education: MBA required
• Series 7 required, Series 24 a plus
• You have a track record of contributing to design and/or development of best-in-class customer experiences
• You have both the flexibility and the skill to lead and contribute to teams.
• Executive presence - superlative communication skills in both artifacts and public presentation
The Purpose of Your Role
As a Retirement and College Leadership squad member working in the Retirement and Income Solutions Tribe, you will provide insights and drive innovation in the retirement and college savings space, championing the needs of Fidelity’s clients and individual customer needs to the squad. You will work closely and collaboratively across technology, legal, risk, compliance, marketing, user experience, and distribution functions.
Also, you will work closely with your squad to document:
• The work that will be done by the team
• The criteria that will determine if the work is complete

• You have experience with strategy development, evaluation of new products and services, and business transformation
• You can synthesize analysis and research into strategic insights and practical recommendations, including strategic analysis, financial analysis, operational analysis and primary/secondary research
• You are able to assess risk and operationalize findings – turning research into actions
• You are able to quantify challenges and requirements related to execution
• You are able to drive to decisions in complex environments with multiple stakeholders
• You participate in the development and creation of effective marketing materials and public relations strategy
• You are able to provide core product management including the inspection and support of online content, collateral, marketing materials, legal documentation, and service mailings
• You can build relationships with peers and executives in a variety of capacities. You enjoy working in a team setting
• You are a self-starter who is organized, detail oriented, and focused on keeping progress moving forward, not only for yourself, but also for the entire squad
• You are comfortable with ambiguity
• You fully grasp evolving consumer and technology trends and are nimble enough to reposition product and offering to be one step ahead of the trends
• You are intellectually curious and love learning new skills and capabilities
The Value You Deliver
• Representing the client and her needs, timelines, and perspectives – influencing our plans and actions to account for client demands and then sharing such plans with marketing partners
• Thought leadership and business knowledge to drive innovation in the retirement and education savings markets
• Leading and delivering complex strategic, transformational, and growth projects
• Interacting with Fidelity associates including more senior levels, gathering data and input and helping build consensus with key stakeholders
• Directing various analyses, including market analysis, internal capability assessment, competitor intelligence, customer research, product assessment, and financial analysis/modeling
• Leading the development of insights to create new strategies or products/services and developing recommendations for improving business processes
• Preparing and delivering presentations to senior executives
• Developing knowledge and skills necessary to assume additional responsibilities
• Developing and evolving ideas that effectively bring together client needs, emerging technology and financial trends, and Fidelity’s offering goals
• Identifying KPIs, building measurement plans, and conducting measurement against KPIs
• With your squad, ensuring continued relevance and authenticity of Fidelity’s retirement and college savings offerings
