Who we’re looking for?
This role will suit a talented, motivated, collaborative and creative communications professional. They will work closely with senior leaders and their teams, leading and supporting regional and global initiatives.

What will you contribute?
The Internal Communications Lead - Americas will drive employee engagement by driving, creating and promoting engaging messages and communication campaigns for employees through various communication channels. They will look for opportunities to leverage content from all functions and manage town halls. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Work with the Director of Internal Communications and Regional Leadership Team to devise an internal communications strategy for the Americas region that will directly advance business objectives and strategic priorities, while reinforcing Finastra’s culture.
• Implement and run the internal communications plan for the Americas Senior Leadership Team incorporating a variety of comms channels – Town Halls, video, intranet, blogs – to engage teams with the regional strategy, progress and successes.
• Act as the IC business partner for select business functions e.g. Customer Support, Professional Services, Sales (Americas)
• Own and implement regional IC strategy on employee engagement, regional initiatives and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
• Manage the quarterly Town Hall program for the Americas including logistics and regional content
• Provide support for strategic event communications, as required.
• Provide messaging support for the Americas Marketing Team including review of critical communications
• Support the Director of Internal Communications and the team through ownership of selected company-wide initiatives and coordinating global communications for Finastra enterprise initiatives as required
• Partner with stakeholders to write, edit, and proofread communications and content to ensure messaging is integrated and aligned with business priorities, while adhering to established standards (e.g. enterprise approval processes, templates, and brand guidelines are followed).
• Develop communication plans and key messaging in support of global initiatives; provide counsel to the businesses on appropriate tactics, channel delivery and approach; develop communication artefacts based on same.
• Create effective and persuasive written materials and develop content for a variety of internal audiences at all levels. Demonstrate an understanding of business strategies and build them into communications approaches and materials; integrating key messages into internal communications.
• Stays attuned to risk matters affecting the business; understands its relevance and advises on audience-appropriate communication elements.
• Ability to distil raw data (survey responses, analytics, etc.) into summarized and easily understood presentations.
• Distribution of internal communications through the Finastra channels – email distribution (Marketo), intranet (Interact), video (Brightcove), internal TV channel (OneLan)
• Take a digital first approach to internal communications and leverage new and innovative communications strategies
Required Experience
Required Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or English or related field required.
• 5 - 8+ years of progressive communications experience, operating within a large company and/or unit of a highly matrixed organization.
• Critical analysis, project management skills, and problem-solving skills with a penchant for articulating and delivering solutions or alternative approaches.
• Proven ability to deliver high quality work with tight deadlines while managing multiple and competing priorities.
• Writes clear, concise and compelling communications.
• Very strong attention to detail.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Expertise in managing internet/intranet content
• Ability to work with colleagues in different time zones.
• Excellent Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Desirable Qualifications & Skills
• Diverse communications experience, working with various functions and businesses within an organization.
• Fluency in French an asset.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat, Photoshop, InDesign) an asset.
• Experience with Marketo an asset.
• Familiarity with AP style.
• Previous experience in financial services industry preferable.
