Key Essential Functions:
• Drive early partnerships with engineering and product management to assess cost feasibility on new platforms through bottoms up cost and ROI analysis.
• Cultivate on-going cost analysis and transparency to stakeholders to support DfX optimization, including influencing platform modularization.
• Ensure smooth product transitions from NPI to production release by preparing the supply chain and managing continuity of material supply, delivery and quality ensuring no shortages, delays or quality issues.
• Work collaboratively with multiple functions (engineering, reliability, supply chain, program management) to ensure requirements are understood, materials are properly sourced and aligned to meet aggressive production schedules.
• Support new acquisition integration for NPI processes.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) to ensure products are optimized for cost, manufacturability, testability and supply chain flexibility and efficiency.
• Lead Operations team in planning and executing NPI builds and ensure readiness for volume production.
• Manage all Operations-related communications, upward and downward through the organization; escalate key issues and present options for resolution to the executive team
• Financial analysis & Total Cost of Ownership for total business solution
• Identify opportunities for NPI business process improvements and drive implementation

• Minimum Qualifications, Experience, Skills, Education and Certifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain Management or related field
• Ten years of experience in materials, engineering or supply chain in a technically innovative fast paced company.
• Experience in large, technically complex project transitions
• Strong project management skills managing NPI program schedules with multiple functional input and management
• Coordination and negotiation skills. Ability to influence cross-functional teams as well as Operations functions for effective planning and implementation
• Demonstrated capability of handling multiple projects in parallel
• Ability to interface effectively across organizational and geographic boundaries.
• Strong interpersonal and planning skills. Demonstrated ability to work with engineers and all levels of management
• Demonstrated effective communication, presentation, negotiation, planning, organization and facilitation skills
• Demonstrated leadership skills and proven ability to achieve results in a fast moving, dynamic environment
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, project management and facilitation skills.
• Special Physical/Travel Requirements:
• Night / weekend support required to interface with contract manufacturing and supply base in Asia
• Travel may be required (5-10% international)
