We are looking for a self-starter who enjoys problem solving, and can maintain composure during challenging situations, all in the spirit of helping our customers.
As an Annuity Counselor, you will work with business partners and our customers to help resolve a variety of issues related to their annuity.
Here is an example of what you can expect:
• Communicate with customers via phone and email regarding complex issues including communication on process and product related features.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and act as an informal leader by reviewing daily work to ensure team accuracy and driving the team towards weekly goals.
• Implement problem solving techniques to ensure efficient processing on all contracts. Follow internal procedures to properly document work on contracts.
• Recognize and research unusual or complex situations and provide prompt feedback to customers, management, and other internal partners.
• Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.
• Prioritize and process daily work to meet customer service goals.
• Promote team development by sharing knowledge and information with team members while working to resolve unusual or difficult situations.

Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must have the following:
• High school diploma or equivalent AND 2+ years of related experience.
• Basic knowledge of annuity products/contract documents, accounting and record keeping systems is preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft office.
• An emphasis on customer service.
• Strong organizational, problem solving, verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have strong math and interpretation skills.
• Must be professional, diligent, a team player and ability to multi-task and adapt to frequent change.
• May need to become an Associated Person of Principal Financial Securities.
