Job Description
Everest Insurance, a member of Everest Re Group, Ltd., is seeking a talented Associate Underwriter for our Risk Management department in our Los Angeles office.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Review submission checklist and make sure all necessary data is in submission
• Request missing info from broker
• Pull best underwriting guide for Underwriter
• Input loss experience, large losses and exposure information
• Upload HML manual rating
• Send cat model requests and employee concentration info to actuarial professionals
• Order loss control or send safety information from broker to Loss Control for review
• Assist Underwriter in proposal generation
• This includes review of coverage specifications and pulling our form numbers and state specific forms
• Order claims quote from Ralph on bundled or GC deals to make sure we are getting enough claims $’s in our pricing
• In regards to binding, the incumbent will setup policy numbers, complete binders, and complete resubmissions.
• Post binding tasks include, send broker draft legal agreements and follow up, follow up on LOCS, generate premium invoices, generate deductible reimbursement invoices, escrow account invoices, send out UM/UIM forms and follow up, TIRA forms, and policy quality review.
Work Experience and Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to persuade and influence others
• Proficient in MS Office software, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Must be able to work independently and within part of a team.
• Excellent analytical skills
