Senior Vice President, Consulting – Portfolio Strategy – Chicago, New York, San Francisco
We are seeking a Senior Vice President to join our Portfolio Strategy practice within our Consulting group. This opportunity is open to the right candidate who will be based in Chicago, New York or San Francisco.
Our Consulting group helps develop high performance real estate teams, enables confident, fact-based decisions and designs and executes integrated, innovative solutions to achieve continual productivity gains that drive enterprise value. We assist our clients in aggregating and analyzing data to drive portfolio optimization scenarios and decisions that better align with business needs and objectives. We employ the best workplace and occupancy planning strategies to enable employee productivity and minimize business disruption –while easily responding to changing business needs.
You will help our team successfully solve our client’s complex problems by delivering recommendations and driving implementation for our occupier clients in the following areas:
• Portfolio Strategy
• Location Strategy / Labor Analytics / Site Selection
• Opportunity Assessments
• Merger and Acquisitions
• Master Planning
• Financial Strategy
• Lease Accounting
• Program Management
What this job involves:
• Must thrive on uncovering new opportunities, love to build and cultivate relationships, have the business savvy to hone in on changes in the marketplace and to be a strategic thinker.
• Lead the acquisition of new business.
• Consult strategically with clients and prospects to develop solutions for their complex problems.
• Develop real estate strategies to enable our clients to meet their business strategies and objectives.
• Analyze corporate clients’ real estate portfolios and develop strategies and plans to achieve long-term operational and financial goals.
• Proactively manage and/or oversee execution of client engagements to ensure excellence, consistency and profitability.
• Support Consulting’s mission and vision by developing thought leadership.
• Pursue new business opportunities and identify areas for growth in conjunction with the Consulting leadership team and personnel.
• Actively participate in industry forums, conferences, and membership in key civic organizations.
• Assist in efforts to leverage insights, collaboration and delivery to ensure that we are the industry innovation leader.
• Lead and support in the management and development of the Consulting team with the overall goal of improving performance.
Sound like you? To apply its worth knowing what we are looking for:
• 13+ years of client advisory experience, with an emphasis on strategy and/or commercial real estate
• MBA or other advanced degree is highly desirable
• Strong background and proven experience with portfolio strategy, planning and financial analysis
• Sound understanding of how real estate supports the achievement of enterprise level goals and objectives
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills
• Project execution experience, leadership, staff and client management skills are required
• Proficiency in finance and accounting concepts, as well as financial modeling are essential for success in this position
• Intellectually curious and creative
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative information, with experience utilizing the latest business intelligence analytical tools
