The Associate’s primary responsibility is to work closely with business development colleagues, strategists, and the portfolio management team as it relates to the marketing, sales, and servicing of all FPCM separately managed account and fund products.
The Associate will be expected to produce and maintain high quality marketing and sales materials and will work with the business development and investment teams in the design of complex, customized presentations and proposals. Other responsibilities include meeting preparation and participation, research of industry and financial markets information, risk measurement/analysis and special projects. The Associate must exhibit a strong sense of urgency and be able to juggle multiple priorities. The successful Associate will operate well independently and be proactive and creative about problem solving. Further, the ideal candidate will possess:

This position will support multiple conventional and alternatives strategies. FPCM career progression based on individual’s preferences, displayed aptitudes, performance, and guidance provided by senior team members over tenure of development. The firm’s institutional clients include pension funds, endowments & foundations, financial institutions, benefits and other trusts, and family offices.
Responsibilities
• Research and maintain database of prospective clients among target client segments
• Analyze client and market data relevant to marketing strategy and execution plan
• Create and update all marketing collateral including marketing pitch books, product profiles, ad-hoc materials, etc.
• Respond to requests from business development team and collaborate with strategists and portfolio managers on development of custom marketing presentations, proposals, and other outstanding items
• For standard strategies and fund products, assist in writing and/or oversee the production and distribution of periodic reports
• Assist in organizing and preparing for both internal and prospective client meetings
• Assist with financial market/asset research, including data collection/analysis and assisting production of publications
• Maintain and update customer relationship management (CRM) database in a structured, forward-thinking manner
• Prepare for and organize business development and investment committee meetings, with increasing participation
• Complete or assist in responses to requests for proposal (RFPs), requests for information (RFIs), due diligence questionnaires, quarterly/monthly client/consultant questionnaires and ad-hoc requests
• Work with internal constituent groups to answer questions and address issues raised by clients and OCIOs/consultants
• Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge regarding competitor strategic focus, published research/ thought leadership pieces, investment offerings, and marketing strategies
• Research, develop and maintain database of industry conferences that are effective means of engaging target client segments
• Identify and work on efficiency initiatives to help business development team continue to improve productivity
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Economics, Finance, or related field
• Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in relevant financial services sectors, and/or consulting, and/or marketing
• Strong data analysis and synthesis skills
• Background and/or interest in fixed income and economics
• Familiarity with fixed income instruments and the economic underpinnings of the fixed income asset class a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficient at creating and refining email and client-focused written content, including grammatical expertise
• Sound time management skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines independently
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills required
• Bloomberg terminal experience
• Salesforce CRM skills a plus
