Job Summary:
The Compliance Manager, Financial Crimes Strategy & Planning Office, will play a key role in Financial Crimes Compliance’s adaptation to, and ongoing maintenance of, a regional operating model for the Americas. Functional responsibilities of the role will vary as the needs and expectations of the Global Financial Crimes Division develop. The Compliance Manager will actively assist regional compliance managers in the U.S. and across the Americas in complying with Global Financial Crimes Issues Management Standards, to include timely and actionable reporting of issue events, development and tracking of corrective action plans and adherence to issue closure protocols. Additional primary functional responsibilities will include assistance with regional compliance reporting and management support of regulatory exams and audit engagements in the U.S.
Major Responsibilities:
• Monitor the level of compliance risk, compliance issues and compliance weakness by reviewing documentation (reports) which are received from the regional financial crimes compliance offices and managers throughout the Americas.
• Ensure regional adherence to AML strategies, including global standards for compliance reporting, governance and regulatory issues management.
• Provide SME support to regulatory exams and internal audit engagements.
• Assist in planning, analysis and maintenance of strategic program initiatives and annual plans.
• Special projects as required.
Qualifications
Additional Information:
• 7-10 years’ experience in compliance and risk management.
• General understanding of US banking regulations.
• Experience in large bank issues management programs and management consulting, specifically in AML/Financial Crime practices involving more complex Program-level engagements
Preferred Skills:
• Bilingual Spanish
