Job Description
Job Summary:
Digital product managers oversee the development and management of a new digital product, from its inception to launch. Using a variety of data, they manage existing products, and identify ways to enhance those products based on need and alignment to bank strategies.
• Monitors the marketplace to assess digital experience trends and results in order to recommend new digital enhancements to applications.
• Prioritizes recommendations. Develops business case, plan and manages the approved roll-out to customers.
• Partners with key stakeholders including marketing, line of business, IT and others to ensure all digital experiences meet their strategic goals.
• Develop detailed requirements and perform configurations as needed to build digital products in conjunction with technology and operations partners.
• Execute ongoing operations, KTLO and management of applications in the bank digital ecosystem
• Manage digital staff, department operations and mentor junior digital analysts as assigned.
Essential Job Duties:
Digital product manager partners across the organization to create requirements/user stories, define functional specification, and provide some project management support to initiatives aimed at transforming the overall Company digital experience for customers.
This role is responsible for analyzing processes, applications and tools, and support execution of projects to enhance our business, and developing expertize within and across the functional areas they support. This role will proactively contribute to process refinements and continuous productivity gains.
This role will often be called upon to support projects in one or more concurrent work streams. They must be self- managed and meet agreed targets. This role will drive the coordination across divisional activities and liaison with the bank’s committees.
This role is required to document the relevant customer journey’s and process flows needed to build an exemplary digital customer experience and efficient, scalable operation.
Document ‘current state’ and ‘future state’ processes and functional requirements documents, including data flows, business rules and use cases.
Best practices, bench marking and information analyzing and evaluating processes and services using internal and external data.
Manage third party / digital vendor relationships.
Mentor and manage work of junior business analysts.
Assist in the change management and QA/UAT testing phases of the project.
Drive business specialists meetings in order to solicit and cross reference functional requirements.
Build out technical specifications, write scripts, query reports, and utilize advanced software for agile and waterfall product development.
Source and develop digital domain expertise by keeping updated on technology innovations in B2B and B2C space.
Ensure Audit, Compliance and Operational risk goals are met both in departmental operation and product performance.
Adheres to compliance procedures and internal/operational risk controls in accordance with any and all applicable regulatory standards, requirements, and policies.
Job Requirements
Preferred knowledge skills and experience:
10+ years in complex B2C and/or B2B retail environment and/or the following:
• Minimum 5 + years as Digital Product Manager or Lead Subject Matter Expert.
• Minimum 3+ years managing a team functional specialists and/or business analysts.
Managed vendor relationships with a spectrum of external technology and business partners.
Primary technology or business lead on at least one recent cross functional strategic project.
Knowledge/Abilities/Technical Skills:
Track record in managing roadmap delivery in partnership with Marketing & Technology teams.
Strong stakeholder management and business communication skills
Utilize key technologies in the creation of digital products such as Jira, Kanban and DevOps methodologies for agile software development.
Proficiency in process mapping, technical specification and quality control scripting.
