Ameritas Life Insurance Corp is seeking an Business Process Analyst II. This professional is responsible for identifying, prioritizing and implementing operational excellence through process improvement, cost reduction, revenue growth and diversification strategies. Activities performed include discovering, validating, documenting and communicating the organization's business process knowledge for initiatives, as well as project management and results delivery for a 'best practices' future state.
Essential Job Functions
• Perform fit-gap analysis to identify gaps and key opportunities, identify value drivers and ROIs, and develop business performance metrics and measures.
• Business Process Modeling and Management (perform analysis to identify decision points and business rules), etc. with process owners
• Document process decomposition, process/business artifacts analysis, develop business operational model and specifications, identify detailed value drivers, work with process owners to streamline and optimize process flows, and communicate to stake holders to get feedback and agreement.
• Document pain points and business needs, perform existing capabilities assessment, and document as-is processes and capabilities.
• Collaborate with management and subject matter experts in planning, coordination, resourcing and implementation of process design & improvement as well as establishing SOPs.
• Assists analysts and architects in providing assessments to identify and plan business process improvement.
• Present information to business partners to obtain feedback, provide insight into issues and problems, and make recommendations for improvements.
• Support operational excellence throughout the enterprise by utilizing Business Architecture, Process Analysis, Project Management, and execution and delivery of continuous improvement.
• Obtains and retains knowledge of numerous applications, processes, and resources.
• Manages multiple assignments and meets deadlines.
Requirements
• Business degree or equivalent experience needed.
• At least two years expertise in business process modeling, requirements management, research tools, and facilitation skills, including experience in the following:
◦ Process definition, analysis, design and implementation, requirements definition and mapping
◦ Business rules modeling and management
◦ Business analysis and blueprinting services
◦ Business architecture
• Six Sigma Lean certification within one year of employment
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written to build interpersonal relationships throughout the business.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Competency in modeling, simulating and analyzing the 'as-is' and 'to-be' scenarios is also expected.
• Broad systems knowledge and fundamental understanding of process automation.
• Significant experience working with Microsoft Office applications
• Process mapping skills in Visio or similar software preferred
