JOB INFORMATION
The Analyst II will work in Fannie Mae's Capital Markets division. This position will conduct analysis and research to support credit insurance risk transfer transactions, Capital Markets trading desks, and/or MBS policy related decisions.
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS
• Support risk transfer transaction team by providing transactional support, tracking deal and market activities.
• Assist in evaluating strategies and conduct analysis to support the strategy of the group.
• Actively participate in team discussions offering insights and opinions, represent the desk in internal discussions with key stakeholders.
• Develop and build strong relationships with internal customers through regular dialogue.
• Develop and build strong relationships with internal customers.
• Use internal valuation and risk models to assist with analysis.
• Demonstrate proficiency with market data sources. Remain current on dealer research/analysis and available third party analytics.
• Contribute to the process of model and technology improvement across various analytic and database tools. Participate in testing system enhancements.
• Update procedures and look for opportunities to improve processes.

Qualifications
EDUCATION
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
• 4+ years of related experience
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
• 4+ years related experience in mortgage related financial services and/or transaction structuring and deal management.
• Understanding of financial tools and financial concepts is necessary.
• Good analytic skillset. Ability to work with data sets, interpret financial analyses, and perform spreadsheet analyses.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. May be responsible for providing updates, both written and verbal, to and for senior leadership.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office tools such as PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
• Results-oriented with ability to take initiative in seeking answers to complex and ambiguous problems and engage with team effectively.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, and deliver results under tight timelines.
• Must be a self-starter and motivated to learn new techniques/skills/knowledge required for his or her duties and responsibilities.
