Ally Requisition #

Job Description
Looking for a company where you feel connected both personally and professionally? At Ally, we're creating a place people want to work. Not your typical financial services company, we consider ourselves less corporate and prescriptive and more personal and practical. We are advocates for our customers, employees and communities. We do what's right because it's the right thing to do.
We see our employees as, well, humans--with interests, families, friends, dreams and causes that are all important to them. Through employee resource groups, we bring diversity and inclusion to life. We strive to create great opportunities that inspire employees to stretch themselves professionally. We want to help you grow, develop and learn new things. You're ever-changing, so shouldn't your opportunities be, too?
What You'll Do
You will help execute recruiting strategy as well as various candidate-focused aspects of the recruiting process to help select, inspire and hire top talent across the organization. You'll support recruiters by coordinating and managing candidate interviews and assisting candidates throughout the recruiting process. To help us grow the Ally employment brand, you'll have the opportunity to be involved in event planning including, but not limited to, campus activities, job fairs and social media. While you will report directly to the Talent Acquisition Team Director, the Recruiters and Sourcers will look to you to be the glue that holds us together! You'll take direction from the team and help fill in gaps when needed. You'll also be expected to work independently on various candidate-focused aspects of the recruiting process.
To be successful in this role, you will need to understand our business and how your work helps move it forward. You will need to be comfortable with ambiguity and operating in the "gray" with an understanding that not every situation or person is the same. Resourcefulness and resilience are important skills for this position. Your ability to leverage matrix partners to quickly find solutions for employees and the business will be critical to this role. Most importantly, you will maintain confidentiality, act with integrity and demonstrate Ally's LEAD values.
What You'll Need
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Human Resources or related discipline
• At least 1 year of experience in a Talent Acquisition or Human Resources role
• Basic knowledge of employment law and full life cycle recruitment process
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task with strong planning and organizing abilities including event planning and coordination experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Comfortable with technology and ability to learn applicant tracking system (ADP RM preferred)
• Previous experience leveraging social media for employment and recruitment branding strongly preferred
• Ability to travel as needed (<25%)
