Overview
About the Role:
The Portfolio Risk Analyst role within the Eagle Lending group at First Republic will play an essential role in the Credit & Risk Management team by performing analysis, preparing management reporting, and supporting auditing across different loan portfolios. The candidate is a detail-oriented individual who is resourceful and self-motivated to solve problems and enhance processes with the objective to mitigate credit risks. By anticipating and appropriately addressing our key risks, the Portfolio Risk Analyst will create tremendous impact by ensuring the safety and soundness of Eagle Lending’s loan portfolios, a key component to our continuous and fast-growing strategy.
Responsibilities
• Perform in-depth analysis, track historical performance and trends within Eagle Lending’s loan portfolios
• Manage bank-wide projects related to credit and risk management on behalf of the business while liaising with different stakeholders
• Actively identify opportunities to improve process efficiency, portfolio quality, and reduce risk
• Oversee implementation of new regulations requirements and, from time to time, help delineate new credit policies
• Develop a deep understanding of the business to address requests and inquiries related to credit, risk and portfolio management
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Must possess 2 - 3 years of experience in Risk Management, Data Analysis, Lending, or other related fields
• Quick-thinker, fast learner, problem solver and possess strong analytical skill
• Collaborative behavior, able to quickly forge effective working relationships with a variety of personalities
• Must possess strong working knowledge of MS Excel / PowerPoint / Word
• SQL knowledge a plus
• Proactive individual able to operate efficiently in a fast paced environment
• Proven ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
• Ability to succeed in a team-oriented work environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated analytical skills and strong attention to detail and the ability to address multiple priorities and deadlines
