The First Citizens Bank Senior Compensation Consultant provides compensation consulting for a named group of sales business units. Reporting to the Director of Compensation & HR Technology, the Sr. Compensation Consultant will have horizontal responsibility for compensation compliance, line of business consulting, incentive plan design and oversight of incentive administration. Responsibilities include:
• Work with the broader HR Community teams to ensure compensation programs align with business objectives, are effective in attracting, rewarding, and retaining talent and are fully compliant with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with sales leaders on variable compensation planning, design and implementation as well as other base pay programs for the following areas: Retail Services (which includes Mortgage, Dealer Finance and Card Operations), Line Bank (which includes Consumer, Business and Commercial Banking), SBA and Strategic Commercial Real Estate.
• Other duties may include: co-leadership of the annual merit process, job evaluation and pricing, job architecture configuration, survey participation and management.
Position Requirements:
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor degree with 10 years business experience and 5 years’ experience in compensation.
Additional Requirements
• Banking organization experience
• Experience in compensation program design and governance
• Experience with variable pay plan design
• Strong analytic skills and technical savvy (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
• Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification
• Strong financial acumen
• Experience with variable pay plan administration
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with business leaders
• Action oriented and adept at working in a fast paced, values driven, growing organization
