The Account Manager supports the assigned Account Executive in Dallas in the following activities related to accounts assigned:
• Prepares materials for presentations, communications and enrollments
• Works with Marketing Assistant to complete and review RFPs
• Implements all client decisions with the carriers and clients to ensure a smooth transition.
• Prepares weekly and monthly client reports on assigned clients
• Communicates as appropriate with client, insurance companies, vendors and internal teams to ensure proper administration of accounts (including contract concerns, underwriting issues, claim situations, etc.). Follows up on outstanding issues or client requests.
• Ensures account accuracy to include: reviewing coverages, renewals, applications, new business submissions, as well as, checking upon receipt; policies, premiums, and SPD’s
• Maintains employee benefit product files, both electronically and in hard copy, as appropriate, for clients and in accordance standard operating procedures
• Understands and stays abreast of changes in employee benefits, including plan designs, legislation, and emerging trends.
Requirements:
• BA or BS degree required
• Life & Heath insurance license required
• At least 5 years of experience servicing large EB accounts
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and PowerPoint programs
• Experience with Benefit Point a plus
• High energy, detail-oriented self-starter
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize
• Willingness to travel
