Responsibilities
The Director, Loss Control Services, oversees all aspects of the companies Loss Control Survey practice. Develops and implements policies, practices and products that lead and are responsive to the insurance loss control needs.
• Directly supervises the Loss Control Services Manager(s), Responsible for assuring all loss control functions conduct their work within the needs, policies and requirements of AFIRM, Customer Requirements and Industry Standards.
• Directly supervises the development of all new forms and report format.
• Reviews and approves pricing and product requests from Sales. Develops overall loss control pricing for the company. Provides pricing quotes for customers on special projects.
• Directly oversees and monitors the quality of the work product generated by the company for trends and implements corrective actions as needed.
• Develops new products and report formats that are responsive to customer and industry needs.
• Monitors technology to make sure that the companies report and reporting systems remain on the leading edge.
• Develops, reviews and approves technical memorandum released to loss control field reps.
• Works with Sales & Marketing to set-up new accounts and new products for existing accounts. Evaluates customer requests for product additions and changes. Assures that customer Special Instructions and Billing Instructions are accurate and posted in the workflow platform.
• Coordinates with IT on customers with different technology needs and product ordering and delivery methods.
• Communicates with Management and Field Reps on matters of policy, practices and procedures related to loss control.
• Works on special projects are needed.
Qualifications
Education/Experience -Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and 7 to 10 years of directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Recommended certificate or qualified in one or more of the following: CSP, ARM, ALCM, ASP, FSR & LCR.
Language Ability -Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
Math Ability -Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
Computer Skills -To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software and Spreadsheet software, Windows Office, Microsoft Word, Excel and have the ability to learn other computer programs quickly.
