JOB DESCRIPTION:
As a OneMain Bankruptcy Specialist Lead, you will be involved in decisions on controlling business risks, staff results, and the provision of quality service to customers and merchants. This position fields difficult calls from staff and determines a satisfactory resolution based on approved strategies. Fact-finding analytical activities are required. The successful candidate will be in contact with staff, co-workers, internal departments, customers, financial institutions, third parties and merchants.
The Bankruptcy Specialist Lead will be responsible for performing many of the following functions:
• Performing analysis and performance tracking of individual departmental results.
• Maintaining and generating daily, weekly and monthly statistical reports.
• Developing and / or delivering training for department staff.
• Maintaining an understanding of departmental systems, personal computers, software applications and policies and procedures.
• Assisting in the identification and implementation of departmental improvements.
• Performing quality audits and / or service observations.
• Communicating with management on operational process improvement opportunities and/or trends.
• Providing back-up support in absence of a supervisor.
• Maintaining appropriate position documentation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• High School / GED Diploma required but an Associate Degree is preferred
• 2 (Two) years of call center or administrative experience
• 1 (One) year of bankruptcy experience or equivalent knowledge of 11 U.S.C. Bankruptcy Code
• Strong phone, negotiation and problem-solving skills
• Quick thinker and creative research skills
• Strong verbal and written skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information
• Proficient in basic MS office applications
