Human Resources Business Partner

Responsibilities:
Implement HR Strategy and Programs
• Engage leaders to understand talent needs of the businesses and define people strategies.
• Collaborate, advise and coach leaders on matters related to engagement and culture, talent performance and leadership development.
• Partner to uphold all compliance standards and create an environment of compliance/excellence.
• Work with the CHRO and all HR Centers of Excellence to give feedback on strategies and programs to more effectively meet the needs of the business.
Talent, Performance Management and Development
• Educate Performance Managers on the scope and impact of their role in developing and retaining talent; deliver tailored training as needed.
• Provide advice to leaders and associates on performance related concerns; including performance improvement, development of high potential talent and succession planning.
• Provide observations related to talent in meetings and one-on-one. Interpret talent management data and work with key stakeholders to develop appropriate initiatives.
• Deploy career development tools and processes; including coaching leaders, participating in employee career counseling and feedback sessions, and equipping managers with leaderships for coaching, feedback & planning performance.
Support a Healthy Work Culture
• Drive market planning activities to support a culture of engagement; assess market “temperature” through formal and informal sensing and plan actions with leaders to support a healthy culture.
• Consult with leaders and associates on employee-related issues, including manager/employee concerns, policies & procedures, values alignment, misconduct, and complaints.
College Recruiting
• Works directly with Campus Team Partners to develop strategic plans and achieve goals for each assigned school; ensures campus teams are in place and operating effectively
• Educates and provides recruiting teams with guidance on the Firm’s model and strategy for campus recruiting (i.e. college/professor relations, campus interviews, office visits, career fairs, presentations, etc.)
Firm-Wide HR Projects
• Assists CHRO and Senior HR Business Partners with various projects
• Assists with coaching and development
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of experience as a generalist in Human Resources,
• SPHR preferred
• Must be able to travel routinely (approximately 40%) to the VA offices as well as other firm-wide events.
• Strong PC skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and/or related applications; demonstrated working knowledge of common HRIS operating systems
• Experience in a professional services environment is preferred.
