The Role
As the Specialist, Business Metrics & Analysis, you will coordinate and deliver business analytics and metrics to support goals & objectives for assigned area(s) of responsibility. You will collaborate with management & stakeholders from across assigned area and provide consultative advice & analytic support to advance business initiatives and contribute to improved efficiency, performance, and results.
Responsibilities
Technical Agility
• Creates, maintains and validates databases to support reporting and analytics processes
• Collects, interprets, and analyzes data from stakeholders across his/her area of responsibility to support management decisions on day-to-day operations, improve inefficiencies, and enhance business performance
• Identifies and interprets current & emerging developments, variances, and trends; researches inconsistencies/anomalies in the data and presents findings to management
• Advises management & business stakeholders on use of quality business analytics, tools, and market information for approaches & opportunities
• Promotes the adoption and usage of standardized terminology, data collection methods & data analytics across various teams to harmonize approach and further business insights
• Recommends and documents process improvements to ensure consistency and reliability of metrics when conducting analyses across teams
• Collaborates with management to support the development & implementation of a business analytic framework to include forward-looking metrics and insights
• Creates dashboards & scorecards utilizing existing and newly developed metrics and performance monitoring approaches to provide management with quantifiable gauges of business performance & results and impact of plans and/or tactical initiatives
• Collaborates with IT & other stakeholders to evaluate current state of data; supports plans to improve data quality and resolve challenges impeding data availability, metric consistency & credibility
• Participates in projects for metrics & analytics integration and implementation

• Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments / trends, assess the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions
Requirements
Education
• 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or 4 years of equivalent work experience in lieu of Bachelor's
Experience
• 1 - 3+ years’ experience in analytics, including the development and use of metrics to support & optimize business objectives directly aligned to the specific responsibilities of this position
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret both internal and external documents such as general media/publications, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, policies, proposals, and standard operating procedures
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Apply concepts such as probability, statistics, modeling, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions
• Works with mathematical concepts such as averages and/or variances
• Ability to evaluate information and the implications of a course of action or solution
• Ability to interpret and apply common sense understanding to carry out a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
• Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
• Evaluate trends in data or information
• Ability to perform under stress in cases of emergency, critical or hazardous situations.
• Ability to work with others in a team environment
• Demonstrated solid relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g. management, peers and colleagues)
• Demonstrates excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Sound knowledge of financial risk (e.g. SOX, ERISA) controls
• Change management skills, including ability to influence and gain collaboration and consensus
