Job Title: Digital Marketing Specialist, Temporary Position
Organizational Location: Business Development Team
Reports To: Digital Marketing Manager
Working Conditions: Normal, no adverse or hazardous conditions
Job Group Category: Non-Exempt
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 - 5:00
Primary Purpose: Summary of major reasons this job exists.
We are seeking a creative, driven individual to help implement corporate digital marketing initiatives. Successful candidate would have proven digital marketing experience with branding and web development in a financial company.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Majority of duties performed, but not meant to be all inclusive or to prevent other duties from being assigned.
• Maintains all content on the BancorpSouth consumer website. Responsible for all of the company’s social media channels: procuring and/or creating and publishing content, monitoring activity, placing, monitoring and reporting on campaigns, in compliance with departmental policies and procedures
• Experience with basic web development using CSS and HTML
• Executes and monitors data-driven, digital cross-sell campaigns within online banking and other channels
• Implement and monitor email campaigns; copy write, edit and proofread as needed
• Develop project timelines and manage tasks and assignments to ensure timely completion
• Establish and maintain communication channels which includes timely updates to the project management tracking system
• Identify marketing trends and key opportunities for innovation
• Comply fully with all regulations as well as internal policies and procedures:
• Meets all departmental and organizational service level agreements and maintains high levels of customer service.
• Ensure great attention to detail and deliver flawless execution in the preparation of all materials.
Job Specifications: Knowledge, skills, abilities normally required for competent performance in the job.
• At least two years experience in marketing (Digital marketing experience preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, advertising, public relations or communications
• Basic knowledge of CSS and HTML
• Proven proficiency in both creative and business writing, editing and proofing
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to speak and listen, as well as clearly express ideas
• Ability to perform under challenging deadlines/schedules
• Experience with Adobe Suite products: Photoshop, InDesign and Dreamweaver is a bonus
• Experience within the financial services industry is preferred
