The Digital Acquisition Experience organization is looking for an engineering leader to drive our Global Application platform to enable Card and Loan apply experiences across 20+ markets and cross web, mobile and voice channels via cutting edge modern technologies and deployment practices.
Description:
• Manage product development teams within a fast paced, agile environment
• Create vision for the next generation platform, technology and constant innovations
• Cultivate an environment of continuous engineering improvement through mentoring, feedback, and metrics
• Recruit skilled engineering talent with business and industry experience, and develop, reward and energize a competent, effective team within the technology organization. Identify and implement strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce.
• Manage and/or lead software development teams, obtaining necessary resources, acting as an escalation point and removing impediments to achieve goals and objectives
• Engage in hands-on design and ensure alignment of strategy, architecture, tools/methods with software engineers and architects to execute product roadmaps
• Collaborate with a wide variety to stakeholders within business and technology teams to drive change required to execute product roadmaps and to prioritize, plan, and execute the development schedule for major product releases
• Enable integrated teams to deliver technology solutions in support of key product initiatives by working closely with product managers, technical project managers, architects, engineers, and quality assurance
• Coach, guide and promote creation of high quality, clearly documented, and compliant deliverables across engineering teams.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
• Computer Science or Information Systems degree or equivalent work experience in Javascript technologies.
• 10 years of technical experience.
• Requires advanced knowledge and understanding of architecture, applications systems design and integration with a detailed understanding of applicable programming methodologies.
• Needs to be a strategic thinker, who is able to combine technical skills with overall business strategy and utilize creative solutions for problem resolution and application development.
• Must have a thorough understanding of scalable, secure and robust n-tier architectures for achieving end-to-end performance, scalability, availability, reliability, usability, configurability, integration and security.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and Architecture strategies, components, tools, concepts, best practices, standards and systems of record is strongly desired.
• Expertise with HTML, RWD, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, XML, AJAX, DOM, and CSS technologies expected
• Experience in JavaScript Frameworks - React JS or AngularJS
• Must have a passion for Technology, combined with solid conceptual understanding and hands-on programming experience with Node JS and Web Services Technologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills required, with ability to create and deliver effective presentations to upper management and Technical Architects across the organization.
• Demonstrated ability to problem solve in the Technology space and the ability to influence and optimize input from key stakeholders in the standard setting process.
• Proven ability to participate in, and contribute simultaneously to, multiple work streams including planning, logistics, communication, and follow up across a diverse and virtual team.
• Experience with a broad range of software languages and technologies is a plus
• Experience with ReactNative, native mobile development is a plus
