Job Description
ABOUT THE JOB (JOB BRIEF)
Contributes to high-priority projects focused on improving Data Quality through people, process, and technology. Designs and develops software that measures data quality. Perform data analysis and explain results with project teams. Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables. Recognizes and recommends alternative solutions. Able to continue progress when faced with ambiguity.
Reports to the Director of Data Governance.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Design and develop software to inspect and measure data quality.
• Hands-on software development with SAS, R, SQL, Excel, and Hadoop.
• Familiar with Cognos, Tableau, and Teradata technology.
• Design, develop, and test data quality logic that ranges from simple to complex multi-point inspection.
• Recommend changes to Data Quality Dashboards and Data Quality Wokflow applications.
• Able to communicate data quality design, test plans, and results to project teams and offshore development teams.
• Provide status to enterprise Data Working Group and Data Governance leadership.
• Participate in strategy and annual budget planning.
• Comfortable with matrix managed teams
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 3 years of related experience
• BA/BS or equivalent work experience
• Exposure to banking loan concepts.
• Exposure to data technology concepts such as source data, data extraction and transformation, master data, data warehouse.
• Influence with Impact, especially partner teams
• Strong attention to detail to ensure risks and controls are appropriately evaluated and prioritized.
• Comfort level with working across an organization without boundaries and with a sense of urgency, while also understanding how the people and the organization function.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships among team members, partners and support areas.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to leadership.
• Systems to be used in the performance of the job include: MS Project, Visio, Excel, Sharepoint, Online reporting tools, EPPIC, KeyNet, Outlook, Word, Powerpoint.
