POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sr. Individual Investment Analyst provides analytical, planning and sales coaching to Wealth Management Advisors on Investment Reviews, PAM Proposal’s, Fixed Income Reports, Annuity Analyzer and the Retirement Income Planner Reports. The Individual Investment Analyst is responsible for working independently on day-to-day activities such as: building, reviewing and coaching all five reports. The Investment Analyst is required to work within the stated guidelines, policies and procedures to ensure the highest quality and integrity. At the same time, each case has unique attributes which may require interpretation and decision making to ensure the results are fact-based and appropriate for the client situation. The overall body of work is designed to gain a better understanding of a client’s current portfolio situation, so that they can assist the field with providing the best planning solutions for our client’s needs. The IA’s work collaboratively with the Integrated Solutions Director and WM Directors as key business partners, as each tool helps in delivering 100% solution to our clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
• Reviewing and analyzing a client’s financial information and brokerage statements for missing or inconsistent data and utilizing appropriate benchmarks and proxies in building and reviewing multiple tools
• Representing the investment tools to the field through training, group meetings and calls to increase usage and proficiency of them and how they can be effectively used in the process
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Series 7, 63, 65 licenses are required. Life and A/H license is preferred. Must comply with all regulatory requirements and remain in good standing with regulatory agencies
• Certified Financial Planner (CFP)
• Minimum of 5 to 10 years of Investment industry experience
Desired Qualifications:
• A high level of technical and analytical skills in order to comprehend and interpret a client’s current investment holdings and performance reports from all outside competitive firms
• An advanced level of knowledge in using investment software such as Morningstar Advisor Workstation, Zephyr, Envestnet, Myvest and Investor Tools
• The ability to translate and communicate complex financial reports and MPT statistics in a Direct sales or wholesaling experience preferred with a proven track record in client facing activities and managing and developing relationships with clients and/or Advisors
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills are required to communicate complicated financial concepts in a manner a client can understand and appreciate.
• Presentation skills desired for both group and one on one settings
• Advanced experience working with analytical software tools like Morningstar Advisor Workstation, Zephyr and Ibbotson are preferred
• Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA), Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) and/or MBA designations preferred manner that clients will understand and appreciate
