Position Summary
Member of Tax Department Federal and International Tax Function assisting in federal tax accounting process and tax compliance for asset management companies with focus on companies located outside the United States. This is a hands on position.
• Lead transfer pricing and Country by Country Reporting process.
• Oversight/Review/Prepare federal, state and local country tax returns and related workpapers including US tax reporting for foreign subsidiaries.
• Assist with International tax planning.
• Assist as required with tax examination process.
• Perform tax research and analysis.
• Work on other federal tax special projects as needed such as R&D credits and M&E analysis.
• Assist on various tax technology projects including Corptax process improvements, data gathering improvements.
Major Responsibilities
• Review/Prepare monthly, quarterly and year end US GAAP current and deferred tax accounting for international asset management businesses.
• Oversight/Assist with international tax compliance and oversight of local country tax examinations.
• Assist with international tax planning including transfer pricing and Country by Country Reporting.
• Manage US tax planning projects such as R&D credits, M&E and other special projects as needed.
• Assist as required with the consolidated federal tax return international tax reporting.
• Assist with IRS and state tax examinations as needed.
• Peform research and analysis as needed. 8. Identify tax process improvements and lead solution projects.
• Assist with FATCA and CRS as needed.
Qualifications
• BS/BA in Accounting or Finance; Master's Degree (MS or MBA) preferred
• 10+ years of experience
• Understanding of tax accounting and tax compliance processes for asset management companies (both domestic and international)
• International tax planning experience
• Excellent Excel and other tax systems skills
