Job Description
Accountable for supporting and developing the strategic footprint strategy primarily for Exclusive Agency (EA) deployment in conjunction with other agency channels.
Design and develop the strategies necessary to Agency Operations can provide both short term and long term strategies in growing our footprint. The role is heavily focused on providing data driven analysis to influence the footprint strategies. You will be responsible for visualization of complex concepts, modeling and analysis, and developing presentations for senior leadership. You will be part of the Agency Operations Strategic Footprint Team.
• Design, development, analysis, and visualization:
◦ Analyzes statistical data as it relates to programs, projects and processes of moderate complexity; provides action alternatives for improvement as appropriate
◦ Provides strategic alternatives and suggestions for solving complex business problems while understanding various specific implications of business strategies
◦ Takes an integrated approach to ensure recommendations align to the Company-determined growth and profit goals
◦ Leverage various tools to extract data from various sources
◦ Build complex models in Excel
◦ Analyze and visualize data with PowerPoint, Tableau
◦ Support various other tools and AOR initiatives as needed
• Communication and Strategic Vision
◦ Demonstrates solid business knowledge, leadership, and general management skills
◦ Develops communication strategies and materials to support new plans, programs, or processes
◦ Anticipates and makes recommendations to solve market specific implications of business strategies
◦ Helps interpret Allstate’s strategic vision into team priorities and activities
◦ Enables leadership efforts for continuous improvements with various footprint options
◦ Helps present business cases and influences others to take recommended actions
◦ Modifies and aligns existing and new initiatives to support changing business tactics
◦ Formulates and/or contributes to formulation of strategies to achieve plan objectives
• Collaboration
◦ Assists in driving results through the development of effective relationships with sales, finance, field, and cross functional leadership, and additional departments within the company.
◦ When applicable, seeks to connect resources across departments to share expertise when appropriate
Job Qualifications
• Bachelors degree highly preferred, with preference for major in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science or Math
• 5+ years experience
• Strong knowledge of the agency distribution channel and working knowledge of processes, policies, and procedures relevant to Agency Sales
• Strong communication skills including written and oral
◦ With the ability to summarize complex concepts and analysis to senior leadership
◦ To create training materials and document processes
• The ability to extract data and build models, with computer proficiency of:
◦ Advanced Excel
◦ Intermediate SQL preferred,
• Ability to present analysis/findings effectively, with computer proficiency of:
◦ Tableau
◦ PowerPoint
• Strong intellectual curiosity with ability to focus in on business problems and analytical efforts
• Intrinsic desire and willing to learn new concepts
• Ability to problem solve and solve routine problems of moderate complexity following established policies and procedures
• Self-starter
