Allstate’s growing User Experience and Design Group is looking for a Senior UX Content Strategist for our Knowledge Management team who wants to do innovative work in a flexible and fun environment. You’ll work with Knowledge Management professionals, in-house Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), UX architects and internal stakeholders to help establish and maintain the tone, voice and content guidelines across our Knowledge Management platform. Content Strategy within the Allstate organization is responsible for overseeing all content requirements, and creating or overseeing creation of all content strategy deliverables (content audits, gap analyses, taxonomies, metadata frameworks, style guides, content migration plans, etc.) across the project lifecycle of the Allstate products.
The Role
In the role of Senior UX Content Strategist, your strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills will allow you to lead digital knowledge management work. You will work with the Knowledge Management specialist to plan for the creation, publication, and governance of useful and usable content within our knowledge management system. Your content strategy toolkit should include gap analysis documents, heuristic analysis documents, content audits, content matrices, style guides, site architecture, taxonomies, and learning plans.
Can you:
• Establish best-in-class content strategy that delivers the right content in the right formats, in alignment with business priorities and marketing/communications themes.
• Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders to categorize and organize a vast number of documents so they’re searchable and easily accessed within our existing content management system.
• Put rules into place for the creation, publishing and updating (governance) of knowledge documents, and socialize those rules to users and leadership.
• Work closely with UX architects to create site architecture and user interactions.
• Believe that content is king and will go that extra mile to ensure that our clients' content solutions that will have impact
• Drive communication throughout the Allstate Enterprise to elevate our commitment to clean, reliable, and accurate data
• Create and implement content strategy processes, templates, and best practices decks
• Handle and enjoy projects from huge initiatives to simple requests
• Work with various content management input systems
• Manage your time under a variety of conditions
• Inspire others with your enthusiasm and work ethic
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or relevant degree, certificate, or background (user experience, library sciences, editorial management, branding and/or content production & management, writing) a plus
• Smart, solid book with samples that show how you think
• 7+ years as a Content Strategist with concentration in UX or Knowledge Management fields
• Strong understanding of knowledge management and/or content management systems
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation, which includes a drug screen.
