Job TitleRPA Process Developer
RPA Process Developers
have responsibility for creating automated solutions within a version-controlled Process Development Lifecycle (PDLC) incorporating RACI, repeatable Task List and Templated Document Set.
The ability to learn in a fast-paced environment is critical, as the role is expected to comprehend and transform existing business processes into automated solutions within short timeframes.
What does a great RPA Developer do?
• Analyzes, understands and documents the business processes in detail.
• Designs process solutions in accordance with standard design principles and conventions.
• Configures new processes and objects using core workflow principles that are efficient, well structured, maintainable and easy to understand.
• Creates and maintains solution documentation.
• Complies with and helps to enforce design and coding standards, policies, and procedures.
• Problem solves issues that arise in day to day running of processes and provides timely responses and solutions as required.
• Works within project planning constraints, communicating any identified project risks and issues to the delivery/project lead accordingly and provides inputs to the change control process.
• Creates and documents test procedures and scenarios for the pre-UAT phases
• Ensures quality of coded components by performing thorough testing.
• Supports the Operational Teams during the UAT and rollout phases
• Supports existing processes and implementing change requirements as part of a structured change control process.
• Communicates software related issues, and suggested improvements.
• Mentors colleagues through training and accreditation program – providing advice and guidance on best practice and development techniques
Basic qualifications for consideration:
• 2+ years’ experience as a Technical Business Analyst, UI/UX Engineer or Graphic Designer/Developer
• A genuine interest and willingness to learn new technology around process automation
• Ability to travel up to 50%
Preferred qualifications for consideration:
• Experience analyzing business processes, identifying automation opportunities and/or the ability to assess automation feasibility.
• The aptitude to contribute to the evolution of methodologies and procedures in a controlled manner to continually improve a rapid and repeatable delivery channel
• The ability to think about the creative process/practical process and understand how things work and why
• Understanding of workflow based logic and the ability to both understand a business process from a workflow diagram and to conceptualize it as an automated solution
• The ability to explain your thought process to other team members and mentor individuals within development and delivery disciplines
• Willingness and ability to blend business analysis with hands-on configuration of automated processes.
• The ability to learn quickly and progress rapidly from theoretical exercises to real world delivery and mentoring tasks.
• Good communication skills with the ability to present technical details to a non-technical audience.
• Good written skills with the ability to produce clear and concise documentation
• The ability to work with a structured and methodical approach, combined with an enquiring mind.
• An understanding of, and a willingness to adhere to, formal change control procedures and disciplines.
• An aptitude for problem solving, with the ability to take a logical route to the source of an error.
• A self-starter who delivers high quality work and can adapt to new challenges, either on their own or as part of a team
