Position Overview
Wipfli is seeking a Human Resources Generalist for our Rocky Mountain and Western Regions, with the majority of time based in either our Denver, CO or Oakland, Fresno or Ukiah, CA office.
In this role, you would serve as a business partner for associates and leaders in our Rocky Mountain and Western area offices and participate as a member of our internal talent and culture team. Travel is required with occasional day, or overnight, travel to other Wipfli locations.
Responsibilities
• Working with local business leaders, associates and internal corporate team members to provide counsel and support on all HR issues
• Guiding HR activities including associate relations, compliance, and performance management
◦ Associate relations includes answering associate questions regarding policies and guidelines, directing coaching of associates for improved performance, and providing counsel regarding career development and growth
◦ Leadership coaching and guidance regarding HR guidelines, policies, practices including compliance with ADA and accommodations, FLSA, ADEA, EEO and FMLA
◦ Performance management includes consulting with leaders on how to manage performance issues, documenting requirements to support performance actions, managing a formal performance improvement process (PIP), and coaching leaders through difficult performance discussions and providing feedback
• Working closely with other HR generalists and specialized functions including total rewards, recruiting, and learning and development to deliver and implement services and programs for assigned groups
Qualifications
• A minimum of five years of diversified HR generalist experience including recruiting, performance management, employee relations, total rewards administration, HR compliance, and leadership coaching
• A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management
• Human Resources certification (HRCI-PHR, HRCI-SPHR, SHRM-CP or SCHRM-SCP) preferred
• Demonstrated client service skills, strong relationship-building skills, the ability to manage projects and a consultative approach to problem solving.
• Strong team player who values open communication and information sharing.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (including MS Word and Excel), Outlook, and HRIS systems including data analysis and reporting
• Excellent presentation skills
