Job Summary:
The Sr. Director of Originations Finance is a key role within Ditech, responsible for leading the budgeting and forecasting process for the Originations business, as well as managing all financial reporting and analyses for the Originations business. This position will work closely with other leaders within the company to gather and analyze data and turn it into information to be used to drive informed decisions. This position will also partner with key stakeholders across the company to identify and implement improvement opportunities.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the development, consolidation and execution of annual budgets and monthly reforecast activities, including scenario planning and other related management and regulatory deliverables
• Ensure stakeholders receive timely, accurate and meaningful financial and operational information to support decision making
• Analyze financial plans and forecasts clearly presenting key issues and trends, and conduct in-depth business performance and risk/opportunity analyses
• Work closely with business leaders to report, manage and control operating results, identifying areas of both growth potential and cost efficiency
• Provide value added variance analyses to highlight issues or opportunities and promote understanding of necessary changes
• Provide broad financial support to financial and operational leaders, including preparation of budgets and forecasts, internal management reporting and dashboards, and ad-hoc financial analysis
• Work collaboratively with other members of the organization to propose and implement process improvement ideas to enable more accurate and faster reporting and analysis
• Perform standard and ad hoc analyses, providing insightful views into the Originations operational and financial performance
• Manage talent, and create opportunities and focus on long-term career development across the team
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 10-15 years of overall financial experience with at least 8 years of FP&A specific experience
• Mortgage industry experience required
• Business and/or Finance degree; MBA preferred
• Experience using a financial reporting package
