Communications and marketing professional to express Jackson Hewitt’s brand effectively and engage consumers to promote and inspire confidence in our Company's products and services.
Jackson Hewitt is looking for a skilled writer and marketer who can not only tackle copy challenges across all mediums – print, digital ads, web copy, blogs, social content, call scripts, etc. – but also drive social efforts across our channels. This talented marketer will help propel our content and social media marketing to new heights. They will analyze new social media platforms for future growth opportunities, research target audiences, create content, schedule posts and update news feeds.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Articulate Jackson Hewitt’s voice and value proposition to external audiences through writing and editing marketing and communications materials, such as blogs and other website content, infographics, brochures, fact sheets, social media content, success stories and other tools to tell the story of Jackson Hewitt’s work with multi-sector partners.
• Provide digital thought leadership and unique strategies for all Jackson Hewitt’s social platforms and communities including: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Youtube, internal and external blogs, etc.
• Work closely with the Senior Director, Public Relations and Communications in activating content across the marketing mix by developing and executing content across all channels, with a specific focus on social media.
• Manage communications content projects from start to finish, including coordinating with colleagues around advertising, social media, websites, PR, print material, and other elements of marketing and communication.
• Drive social media campaign strategy including managing program outlines and provide recommendations.
• Understand current trends, technologies and advancements in social, mobile, and online review sites.
• Extend marketing initiatives and editorial content into relevant external publications (forums, new sites, blogs, etc).
• Works with third parties including agencies and vendors.
• Works on special brand initiatives as requested by the Senior Director, Public Relations and Communications.
Education/ Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Demonstrated excellence in writing, storytelling, and content creation
• Proven experience creating and executing strategic communications plans
• Solution-oriented, strategic thinker and communicator
• Relationship builder and collaborator
• Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Drive, energy, and passion to work with category-leading brands.
• Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
