Job Title: Assistant Marketing Manager
Organizational Location: Business Development Team
Reports To: Director of Marketing

Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 - 5:00
Primary Purpose: Summary of major reasons this job exists.
We are seeking a strategic, self-driven individual with strong leadership skills to work closely with the Director of Marketing in overseeing marketing projects and advertising efforts. This individual will work with team leaders on budgets, marketing plans, and the selection of advertising media and will plan promotional campaigns to support the business goals of the company. We seek a candidate with excellent oral and written communication skills, good organizational skills and good business acumen.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Majority of duties performed, but not meant to be all inclusive or to prevent other duties from being assigned.
• Develops and implements direct marketing activities including marketing campaigns targeting customers or potential customers.
• Reviews and approves messages to be used in emails, flyers, brochures, mailings or other direct communications materials.
• Develops a strategy for generating and qualifying leads by mining marketing databases, and oversees the creation of email and mailing lists that are targeted to specific campaigns.
• Administers programs and processes for acquiring, managing, and reporting on marketing or customer data including trends and identifying gaps.
• Develops and administers marketing campaigns for new or revised products and evaluates the performance of marketing initiatives and revises strategy in response.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, measures customer satisfaction or retention and prepares reports and analysis for presentation to senior leadership teams.
• Recommends strategies to increase sales or improve business results.
Job Specifications: Knowledge, skills, abilities normally required for competent performance in the job.
• Five - seven years experience in managing advertising or marketing projects and/or functions
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, advertising, public relations or communications
• Experience within the financial services industry is strongly preferred
• Outstanding organizational and planning abilities
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to speak and listen, as well as clearly express ideas
• Effective management and supervisory skills
• Ability to perform under challenging deadlines/schedules, work through stressful situations and solve problems
• Creative mindset
