About Fixed Income Credit Business Management
The Fixed Income Credit Business Management team is responsible for the daily operation of the Credit trading and sales desks and implementing the strategic goals of the FI Credit business. Working closely with the business heads and their teams, the business management team manages changes to and development of the business, working in concert with infrastructure groups.

Overall purpose of role
• This position will have a mandate as a support role for the US FI Credit business which primarily trades bonds, credit default swaps, loans, and CLOs. The position will also be in support of the Global Credit COO team.
• Foster a strong integration with the Credit Client Strategy team through partnering in business and client reviews and planning the strategic goals and associated actions to achieve them.
• The role is a replacement hire for the business management team post an internal mobility move. It has the potential for personal growth given the size and remit of the team, as well as the breadth of products and business lines covered.
Key Accountabilities
• Daily business support to Credit Sales & Trading.
• Infrastructure Coordination – engaging and communicating with relevant stakeholders in IT, Product Control, Risk, Operations, etc. to achieve business goals.
• Business process development and optimization including working on issues relating to trading systems, risk systems and other trading orientated initiatives.
• Representative on senior level working groups, forums, and committees internally and possibly externally.
• Ad hoc Reporting and Projects.
• Human Resource process oversight (e.g. leavers/movers/joiner controls, mandatory leave status, appraisals, training).
• Global regulatory project ownership and accountability
• Expense Management oversight
• Budgets and Performance Management.
• Responsible being the liaison with infrastructure partners on Audits, Compliance and Risk reviews, Conformance Testing, and Unauthorized Trading reviews.
Stakeholder Management and Leadership
• This role requires regular interaction with Credit Sales and Trading Managing Directors and Directors, and is expected to liaise with senior infrastructure control heads.
• The role will report in to the US Credit Business Manager.
• Professional communication skills are essential
• Ability to develop and maintain excellent relationships across all areas of the firm.

• Proven strong numeracy and verbal reasoning skills
• Fast learner with the ability to use their initiative and apply knowledge to new situations
• Ability to make quick decisions based on available information or determine if further analysis is required
Risk and Control Objective
Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards.
Person Specification
Basic Qualifications/Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree
• 10+ years of relevant industry experience
• 3+ years of experience with Fixed Income Credit or Rates
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
• Prior experience as a Business Manager for Credit
• Ability to operate in a dynamic complex multi-disciplined business environment where change is constant and demanding
• A ‘can-do’ and ‘will-do’ collaborative and enthusiastic attitude
• Excellent project management skills
• Excellent communicator especially to senior stakeholders
• A clear understanding of the elements of an effective control environment, with proven responsibility for decision-making.
• Strong and proven organisational skills
• Proven strong numeracy and verbal reasoning skills
• Excellent team player who responds well to high intensity and pressure environments
• Fast learner with the ability to use their initiative and apply knowledge to new situations
• Change agent and initiator of remediation workstreams
• Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills at preparing presentations
