Description
The Product Owner – Money Movement will help shape and define the vision for Enterprise Money Movement capabilities to promote consistency and efficiency while removing internal and external points of customer friction related to both new and existing Money Movement processes. The position will lead a cross-functional team and will be responsible for articulating and translating the overall vision into strategy, tactics, and executable solutions to drive the required business outcomes. This highly collaborative role will work closely with Business unit, Enterprise, Key stakeholders, end users and functional and technical team members to rapidly deliver quality solutions through competitive and market analysis, business engagement, issue resolution, and project prioritization.
Major Areas of Accountability:
• Lead a cross functional team, responsible for continuous delivery of value to the customer
• Consult with product stakeholders as the key point of contact to assess, prioritize and anticipate current and future product needs
• Develop a product strategy and roadmap through analysis of personas, use cases, customer benefits, and solution value propositions
• Ensure all stories clearly communicate the customer and stakeholder needs to meet key business objectives and strategies for the product
• Maintain and refine product backlog; create user stories and acceptance criteria and prioritize all stories to ensure work focuses on those with maximum business value that align with product strategy
• Work with other product teams/owners to align product roadmaps and focus on delivering the maximum business value to the organization
• Partner a scrum team, ensuring the teams are aligned around similar goals and objectives and attending all scrum meetings
• Develop and track key value drivers (KPI’s) that measure effectiveness of product discovery and overall product performance
• Foster a sense of urgency to achieve goals and leverage resources to overcome unexpected obstacles
• Inspire others to achieve challenging goals and high standards of performance while committing to the organization’s direction
• Work with stakeholders and product leadership as well as any external partners and development teams to ensure priorities are sequenced and dependencies are clear and agreed upon
• Act as the voice of the team to all key stakeholders and ensures all channels of communication are open and that projects have the appropriate amount of support required to succeed
• Support planning and budgeting processes, managing to pro-forma projections.
• Proactively manage all aspects of the Money Movement product to meet organizational goals including benchmarking with other financial institutions, system lifecycle management and cost benefit analysis
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years relevant business experience
• Financial Services industry knowledge
• Demonstrated experience of Business Process Mindset (LEAN preferred)
• Strong Influencing Skills
• Strong communicator and communication ability to all levels of seniority and disciplines within the organization
• Experience with Benchmarking, Best Practices and Surveys
• Proven success developing business cases, roadmaps, product execution strategies
• Passion and understanding of new technology trends
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum best practices preferred
