This position reports to the Manager of VALIC Claims and works closely with internal and external customers and other departments, researching all approaches to meet client needs regarding death claims.

• Maintain High work standards reviwing and processing complex financial documents.
• Process claim requests while maintaining quality and productivity standards
• Positive customer relations skills to communicate information accurately , with detail in a professional manner.
• Work in a team environment while developing working relationships inside and outside the organization, sharing information and ideas with team members/management and strive to achieve continuous improvement and increase efficiency.
• Handle special project as assigned. Evaluate and resolve escalated and high priority situations using research skills and alternative approaches
What we are looking for
• Excellent written customer service skills.
• Computer skills that will include the use of excel spreadsheets and shared documents.
• Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Experience using SAP and TAPS preferred but not required. Two years of VALIC or other business experience is preferred.
