Commodities and Global Markets provides clients with an integrated, end-to-end offering across global markets including equities, fixed income, foreign exchange and commodities.
Credit Market Division is looking for a quantitative analyst to work in its consumer and mortgage whole loan financing, investing, trading, and securitization business. Candidates should possess the following skills:
• Ability to work closely with product/portfolio management teams to analyze large quantities of data; extract and visualize information; communicate the trend and story to management and colleagues;
• Ability to build analytical tools (Excel templates, queries, macros/programs) to efficiently work on data management, including stratifications, performance curves, and capital/cash flow projections;
• Ability to communicate, monitor investment performance and distill information into periodic reports to show origination and performance trends. Will be required to present findings and information in group meetings;
• Willingness to work on ad hoc analytical requests and address data/analytical questions promptly and accurately;
The qualifications include:
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in math, engineering, quantitative finance, or compsci. Recent grad is ok…but should have some relevant internship experience. 1-2 years work experience a plus.
• We work in a fast-paced environment and candidate must possess the ability to multi-task and handle stress; team player and easy to work with;
• Excellent analytical skills for data extraction and transformation;
• High proficiency with Excel formulas, templates, macro, pivot tables, data tables, charts;
• Good working knowledge with database queries (SQL) and at least one programming language; understanding of statistical concepts
• Understanding of fixed income, credit products. Understanding of consumer credit and / or mortgages a plus;
• Attention to details and high quality of work a must.
