Description
Global Security is a multifaceted, 24/7 operation accountable for the safety and security of all Prudential’s people, property and other assets.The department provides comprehensive, enterprise-wide solutions for employee security, asset protection, crisis management, executive protection, transportation & aviation, and credentialing.
In this role, you will assist in overseeing the security service providers by writing and implementing security procedures and post orders. In addition, you will evaluate security controls by conducting security assessments, conduct investigations, reviews incident reports and serves as a subject matter expert on security issues.
Reporting to the Security Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
• Assist the manager in overseeing the Domestic Security team, which includes, but is not limited to, conducting regular meetings to determine the status of Prudential properties, addressing issues that surface during the meetings, monitoring ongoing projects.
• Lead projects within Global Security department on security-related issues, e.g., uses of technology and security personnel.
• Ensure Standard Operating Procedures [SOPs] and post orders are current; revises and/or develops procedures as needed.
• Conduct investigations of all incidents which involve a security response.
• Review incident and daily reports to ensure compliance with established procedures and follows up, as needed.
• Conduct, in partnership with colleagues, security awareness presentations and training sessions for associates as well as security personnel.
• Write security awareness communications, e.g. alerts, bulletins, posters, etc.
• Work with businesses to provide consultative assistance on security related issues.
• Conduct and reviews security assessments for Prudential properties to determine adequacy of security controls, prepares reports with recommendations to address security control needs.
• Serve as expert during Extreme Violence/Active Shooter presentations and exercises.
• Manage, reconcile, and maintain budget expenses related to Domestic Security Operations.
• Lead various security projects as assigned.
Qualifications
• Five or more years of relevant security experience, preferable in a corporate environment
• Bachelor’s degree, a plus
• Knowledge of physical security best practices and standards, paper check security for testing the security features in paper stock and overall familiarity of fraud.
• Strong working knowledge of CCTV, card access and other security products
• Awareness of emergency preparedness programs, including shelter in place and fire safety training
• Security assessment skills
• Excellent verbal and written skills; willingness to take a writing assessment
• Strong presentation skills
• Knowledge of budget management
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, etc.)
• Professional certifications a plus (PSP or CCP)
• Ability to travel domestically up to 10%
